Make Jesus Lord of your Life?Salvation is between you and God Almighty, there is no one that can stand in your place to receive salvation. The only way to be cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
First and foremost, God loves you. The scriptures tell us in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." KJV
Second, sin separates us from God. Here is what the Scriptures say:
- Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" KJV
- Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" KJV
- Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." KJV
The Bible says because of one man’s (Adam) disobedience, we all became sinners. Romans 5:12 tells us, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" KJV
The only one who can redeem us from the curse of the law is Jesus Christ. John 3:5 says, "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." KJV
Salvation is when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and you turn your back on sin. Salvation is when you renounce any worldly pleasure and every involvement with corrupt and wicked ways and not wanting to sin anymore. (In the dictionary, "renounce" means: to give up a habit, a practice or former things.) You focus your heart and mind on God and let Him be your judge.
In the New Testament Jesus, who is the perfect Lamb of God, shed His Blood once and for all as explained in (Heb. 7:27). When we sin, we go directly to Him to be forgiven and delivered.
Man is not just a social being but a spiritual being AND WE ARE NOT HUMAN BEINGS ON A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY BUT SPIRIT BEINGS ON A HUMAN JOURNEY. In other religions, man runs after the creator but in Christianity, the Creator Jehovah God through His Son Jesus Christ, seeks to establish a personal, holy, and everlasting relationship with mankind. This is a 'relationship" and not a "religious" connection. Here is how you can start this important journey.
Confess from your heart, that like every one else, you are a sinner because you have sinned, some-how, some-where in your life.
Surrender your life and pray this prayer: "Jehovah God, I want to know you as my Father and I know this is only possible through accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Lord Jesus Christ, come in my heart, forgive my sins and the sins of my fore-fathers and give me new birth. I receive you NOW in my heart, Amen."
Meditate quietly and ask God to establish a "direct contact" with your spirit-man through Jesus Christ, His Son.
